To Our Most Loyal Customers:
Everyone knows how much the current economy has affected small businesses such as ours. Our lease is up and it is time we faced the music and sadly, we must close K2. We would like to say thank you to all our most loyal customers, especially those who have become friends and family.
This is an invitation for you to come to the store and receive 40% off your purchase beginning Monday, January 2, 2012. If you pay for your purchase with cash or check, you will receive 50% off*.
Since we are starting off at this discount rate, there will no longer be a need for the 20% Off Frequent Shopper Punch Card Program. If you have a full card, please bring it with you and we welcome you to have your choice of some free product, while supplies last. Ask an associate for details.
Fixtures and equipment will also be for sale at the marked price so if you are thinking of tricking out your scrapbook haven at home, come by early to get "dibs" on whatever fixtures and equipment you need. First come, first serve. You can reserve the fixture you want, and pick it up when it becomes available as product is sold and space is cleared.
Cash or checks only on fixtures please.
We will continue Scrap-N-Dash Wednesdays through the month of January, staying open until 7:00 p.m.*
Jane's final card class will be offered Thursday, January 19th
We would like to invite you to a final farewell Crop Party on Saturday, February 4th from 10:00 - 10:00. More information to come in the next week or so.
It saddens us to say goodbye but at some point you have to face reality and our reality is that the current economy, the online scrapbooking stores, vendors selling direct to the public, vendors selling to the "Big Box" stores below our cost, and the "Big Box" stores selling to the public below our cost do not support keeping the store open.
* Discount does not apply to fixtures, class fees, Basic Grey Page-of-the-Month or Scrap-N-Dash

I am so sad about your news. I look forward to shopping at your store every time I'm in florida and will miss not being able to this year, since we won't be there until the end of February. Many stores in Michigan have closed as well, for the same reasons you have stated. Customers like coming to shop at our store, but the same customers shop at the "big box" stores and online. Can't seem to make them understand how much it hurts our store. Good Luck to all of you. You and your store will be missed.

I'm so very very sorry to hear this news. One of my resolutions for this year is to put me back in the equation and that means making time for scrapbooking again every week. I was excited to come in and plan my Friday nights to crop and an occassional all-day crop as well.
I will definitely stop in to see what I can't live without, without you here. I wish this didn't have to happen. It's so hard to find scrapbook stores anymore and even harder to find ones with such lovely people!

This is so sad and such a blow to all scrappers in our area. You were our only local creative store with many of the special things and inspiration that we can't get other places. You will truly be missed. I will watch for information on the final scrap to say farewell and good luck to you.
